What is a MUD?
MUD stands for Multi-User Dungeon. Which is a fancy sort of way of saying an online text-based roleplaying fantasy game. You read right - text based! You can play using a MUD client, like Zmud or Gmud, or just connect using telnet.
Legends of Excalibur
Legends of Excalibur is a fantasy MUD originally launched in 1997. Created by Ymir, Veneficis, and Richter, LoE has grown over the years to encompass over 150 unique areas. Players can fight epic battles, complete a variety of quests, participate in player versus player combat, experiment with a vast array of class combinations, and even build their home in one of four major cities.
Currently maintained by Aegaiul, LoE's friendly community always welcomes new players.
Staff
Aegaiul
Aegaiul currently heads up the Imm staff. He dabbles in just about everything, specializing in mortal affairs, housing, and everything other people don't do. He also claims to be completely sane. We're not quite sure we believe him on that last part though.
Sorhem
Sorhem keeps saying he is retired, but loves us too much, and keeps coming back and fixing things up for us. Responsible for 99% of the coding, and Kickaar keeping, general building and clean up, he is quite busy, and probably needs a cookie.
Nathala
Nathala is our Role-Play imm which, by definition, requires her sanity to be waning. She can generally be found wandering around, distributing muffins and helping everyone else.
Beltiln
Beltiln is in charge of building on LoE and keeps our Clans and Orders up and running, providing everything they need. It is well known that he has lost his mind long ago.
Elders
The Elders run about the realms, helping everyone who needs it. They are the general keepers of knowledge in the game, and can be relied on to answer any questions you may have about the game. They can also assist in advice for equipment, or general help. You can type 'Who' in game, and there will most likely be one or more Elder on that can be contacted.
